Welcome to my shop and thank-you for visiting! I started the The Sky Ruby Project in the summer of 2007 and after some success I decided to close during Fall of 2008 as school and work began to consume the majority of my time. But what have I been doing between now and then?

Over the course of the past seven years, I have obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Anthropology as well as landed two positions as an art instructor and writing specialist. I really enjoy the academic and artistic work I do on a daily basis, but have always possessed a passion for creating handmade products and have dreamed of making a part-time living from crafting. I have put this plan into motion on a small-scale and have been selling locally for the past couple of months under the name Busk and Bloom. I feel that this name is much more representative of the work I am currently doing, however when I decided to re-open my Etsy shop I discovered that I could not work under this new name without creating a separate account. I wanted to avoid creating a new account so if you were wondering why my shop banner reads, "The Sky Ruby Project and Busk & Bloom" that's why :) !

I am a avid vintage jewellery collector and have been heavily influence by the colours, designs and style of the 50's, 60's and 70's, as such you will likely notice that the majority of my work is very much antique and vintage-inspired. In my shop you will see an electric mix of products ranging from handmade bookmarks and pop art to jewellery and vintage finds. For the most part I can make whatever you want into a custom order and will do my best to respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
